A 39-year-old woman is facing attempted arson and terroristic threats charges after committing armed robbery Friday in Susquehanna Township, police said.
Jessica Martir-Morales was burglarizing a home on the 3600 block of North Sixth Street when officers arrived around 11:45 a.m., police said.
The Dauphin County Crisis Response Team arrived on scene after Martir-Morales was threatening to shoot herself. She surrendered after about an hour of negotiations, police said.
Swatara and Lower Paxton Township police departments assisted at the scene.
Martir-Morales was taken to a hospital for mental evaluation, police said. She will be charged with burglary, attempted arson and terroristic threats.
