One-vehicle crash
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 80 in Marion Township, Centre County, on Dec. 2.
According to police, a 2017 Peterbilt tractor trailer being driven by Grayling Roberts, 59, of Miami, Fla., was traveling along I-80 eastbound was changing lanes and strong winds forced the vehicle off the roadway. The tractor trailer left the roadway and Roberts was severely injured in the 3:10 p.m. crash.
LifeFlight transported Roberts to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Lamar Fire Department, Lock Haven EMS, PennDOT and Eagle Towing.
Terroristic threats
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a case of terroristic threats that took place on Dec. 3 along Keystone Central Drive in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County.
According to police, two juvenile females engaged in text messages referencing violence toward each other. Both juveniles will be charged accordingly, police said. The incident took place around 1 p.m.
DUI crash
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a one-vehicle crash that involved a person driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Dec. 3.
According to police, a 2010 Buick Lacrosse being driven by Brett O’Brien, 45, of Lock Haven, was traveling along Hogan Boulevard near its intersection of North Water Street when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert.
O’Brien was taken to UPMC Lock Haven for a blood draw before he was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
The crash took place at 12:49 a.m.
Two-vehicle crash
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar investigated a two-vehicle crash that took place along Rauchtown Road in Greene Township, Clinton County.
According to police, a Dodge Ram being driven by Austin Quintero, 25, of Abernathy, Texas, was traveling northbound on Rauchtown Road and failed to provide proper clearance while attempting to pass a 2003 Dodge Caravan being driven by Darla Gerhard, 69, of Loganton. The vehicles collided and damage was severe. Gerhard was taken to Jersey Shore Hospital by Jersey Shore EMS.
Quintero was cited for his role in the 12:23 p.m. crash.
Police were assisted at the scene by Sugar Valley Fire/Rescue, Jersey Shore EMS and Tressler’s Towing.
Theft by deception
BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar investigated a case of theft by deception that took place along Brown Lane in Beech Creek Township, Clinton County on Dec. 3.
According to police, someone tried to file for unemployment benefits in the name of a 27-year-old Beech Creek man.
The incident was reported at 2:46 p.m.
Driving under the influence
LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar investigated a case of driving under the influence that took place in downtown Lock Haven on Dec. 3.
According to police, a 2004 Chevrolet Astro Van was observed traveling the wrong way along West Park Street. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, Shawn Pasternak, 49, of Elizabeth, Pa., was driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He was arrested for DUI, police said.
The incident took place at 11:18 p.m.
Money stolen
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a case of theft that took place on Nov. 27 on Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County.
Police say that a 52-year-old Jersey Shore woman withdrew $100 from an automated checkout kiosk at Walmart. She accidentally left the money behind. When she returned, it was gone, police said.
The incident took place at 9:44 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
Harassment
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a case of harassment that took place at a privated residence along Mordred Drive in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County on Nov. 23.
According to police the incident involved a juvenile male and female, both from Mill Hall. Charges were filed against both parties for harassment in the 3:40 p.m. incident.
Assault
SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview are investigating a case of indecent assault that took place along Penns Valley Road in Penn Township, Centre County on Dec. 2.
The incident was reported at 12:51 p.m. The investigation continues.
Lost handgun
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar investigated a case of a lost/missing firearm that was taken from a private residence in Greene Township, Clinton County.
Police say that a Springfieled Hellcat 9mm firearm valued at around $530 was taken sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 28.

Theft
LAMAR — State police at Lamar investigated a case of theft that took place at a hotel along Hospitality Lane in Porter Township, Clinton County on Nov. 13.
Police say that several personal items were stolen from a hotel room. The items, which ranged in value from $2.99 to $350, were stolen sometime between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. All told, the items were valued at $470. They belonged to a 35-year-old Lock Haven female and a 37-year-old Lock Haven man.
The investigation is ongoing.
Disorderly conduct
MADISONBURG — State police at Rockview investigated a case of disorderly conduct that took place along the Madisonburg Pike in Miles, Township, Centre County, on Nov. 6.
The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. The investigation continues.
DUI
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar investigated a case of driving under the influence that took place on Nov. 21 along state Route 220 in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County.
According to police, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Carl Merrill, 29, of Beech Creek, was stopped for several traffic violations. While he was stopped, he displayed signs of impairment and had difficulties with field sobriety testing. He was taken into custody for DUI and submitted to chemical testing.
Upon receiving toxicology results, charges were filed through magisterial district justice Keith Kibler’s office.
The traffic stop took place at 2:23 a.m.
Drug possession
JERSEY SHORE — A case of drug possession was investigated by state police at Lamar on Nov. 25.
According to police, a traffic stop took place involving a 2018 Nissan Sentra being driven by a 25-year-old male from Tracy, Calif. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The stop took place around milemarker 192 of Interstate 80 westbound in Greene Township, Clinton County.
Charges will be filed through magisterial district justice 25-3-02, police said.
The stop took place around 2:38 p.m.
Theft by deception
BELLEFONTE — A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Rockview on Nov. 24.
According to police, someone filed for unemployment in the name of a 31-year-old Bellefonte woman. The report was filed around 1:30 p.m., police said.
The investigation continues.
Bad checks
MILESBURG — State police at Rockview investigated a case of bad checks that took place sometime between Nov. 9 and Nov. 11 along Market Street in Boggs Township, Centre County.
According to police, Shane Walker, 36, of Howard, removed $600 via check from the account of a 61-year-old Milesburg woman.
The investigation continues.
Three-vehicle crash
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview were called to the scene of a three-vehicle crash that took place along the Benner Pike in Centre County on Dec. 3.
According to police, a 2015 Chevrolet Express stuck a 2015 Sport Haven Trailer and pushed it into a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. No injuries were reported in the chain-reaction accident. Damage was minor in the 1:48 p.m. crash.
Police did not release the names of those involved.
One-vehicle crash
MILESBURG — State police at Rockview investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 80 in Boggs Township, Centre County, on Dec. 2.
According to police, a 2018 Isuzu NBR being driven by John Ivory, 40, of Boston, was forced off the roadway by an unknown tractor trailer that was drifting into its lane. The Isuzu NBR left the roadway and struck an embankment, causing disabling damage. No injuries were reported in the 8:55 p.m. crash.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Milesburg Fire Department, Snow Shoe EMS and Eagle Towing.
DUI crash
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash that took place along Mackeyville Road in Lamar Township, Clinton County on Nov. 19.
According to police, a 2015 Volkswagen Golf being driven by Kaleb Copenhaver, 21, of Lock Haven was traveling at an unsafe speed along Mackeyville Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The Golf struck a large rock and some landscaping before coming to rest. It had to be towed from the scene.
Copenhaver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. Police were assisted at the scene by Bressler’s Towing and the Lamar Township Fire Department.
The crash took place at 1:29 a.m., police said.
DUI-related crash
RENOVO — A Virginia man was arrested for a DUI-related crash which resulted in injuries on Nov. 29 at 10749 Ridge Road in Noyes Township.
State police at Lamar was contacted regarding a one vehicle crash on state Route 144 near Stink Hollow Trail. Police arrived on scene at 3:56 p.m. and found the operator of a crashed 2019 Chevrolet Trax.
Through further investigation of the wrecked vehicle, police determined the operator, Richard Hall, 64, of Midlothian, Va., had been driving under the influence.
The crash occurred when Hall was travelling south on Ridge Road approximately 2.5 miles south of Stink Hollow Trail.
As Hall was traveling south, the vehicle left the roadway on the west side, Hall struck an embankment. The vehicle then rolled onto its driver side blocking the south bound lane of travel, police said. Upon arrival, police found Hall in the southbound lane of Ridge Road facing west. He was taken to Bucktail Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. The vehicle had been towed away by Showcase Auto Repair.
