A Pennsylvania man turned himself in to the police Monday and confessed to killing his wife, saying that she cheated on him, according to a criminal complaint.
Daniel Barrett, 40, faces a charge of criminal homicide after the confession in the gruesome death of Mary Barrett at their Plymouth, Pa., home, according to the charging documents.

The Plymouth Police Department said Mary Barrett was found lying on the floor of the basement of the couple’s home with a hole in her head and a fireplace poker resting beside her.
According to the criminal complaint, Daniel Barrett told the police that he and his wife got into an argument on Saturday about her alleged infidelity, and that he attacked her with a fire poker and stabber her with a knife.
Barrett said he dragging her to the basement and leaving her there for two days, according to the complaint.
Plymouth is located about 120 miles north of Philadelphia.
