EAST FALLOWFIELD — No one was injured during a one-alarm fire early Friday morning in East Fallowfield.
The blaze broke out at 12:29 a.m. on Jan.14, as fire companies were dispatched to the area of Triple Fresh Market in East Fallowfield for a house fire. As local fire companies began to respond the location was updated to the 700 block of Baron Crest Way which is behind Triple Fresh Market.
Firefighters quickly arrived on scene and had fire visible from the side of the residence and initially believed people were trapped inside. Luckily the family was able to get out of the residence on their own and were uninjured, authorities said.
Due to a lack of fire hydrants in this area additional Tanker trucks which carry large volumes of water were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters utilized 3 hose lines in the residence and were able to bring the fire under control at 1:10 a.m. No injuries were reported to residents or firefighters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Responding to the incident were Modena, Westwood, Keystone Valley, Coatesville, Cochranville, East Brandywine and Sadsburyville Fire Companies. Tankers from Wagontown, Po-Mar-Lin and West Bradford were also on location.
