Bethlehem police are looking for a man they say opened fire on a woman and children Monday night in the city.
Timothy Oliver Barr II should be considered armed and dangerous, and is being sought on charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Anyone with information on Barr or his whereabouts should contact the Northampton County non-emergency number at 610-865-7187 or the Bethlehem Police Department tip line at 610-691-6660.
Police were called at 8:45 p.m. Monday for a disturbance in the 800 block of Main Street, and that a man was threatening to shoot a woman and her children. The man was identified as Barr, according to police.
The victim told officers there was an on-going dispute with Barr over child custody, and that he sent threats to “shoot” the victim and the children.
On Monday night, Barr confronted the victim outside of her home and showed a handgun, police said. Barr threatened to shoot the woman and pointed the gun at her, but did not fire at that time, police said.
Barr got into a red four-door Dodge Dart and began driving away, but stopped in the intersection of West Union Boulevard and Main Street and opened fire, police said. Barr is accused of firing several shots at the victim and her children, before driving away.
The vehicle had not been located as of Tuesday morning, police said.
