Dwelling Fire - Bensalem Twp

Chief 65 (R. Harris) arrived on scene of a 2-story dwelling and reported heavy smoke showing. Engine 65 established a water supply and went in-service with a 1 3/4" waterline. Interior Command (R. Sponheimer) reported heavy fire conditions on Side C of the first floor. Ladder 65 vented the dwelling and Engine 28 stretched a back up line to the 2nd floor. Interior Command reported the bulk of the fire knocked down with extension in the walls between the first and second floors. Rescue 8 and Ladder 16 were added to the assignment and assisted the initial crews. FM 222 on location for the investigation.

Chief 2210 O/L reporting fire showing from the surrounding area around chimney. All companies placed in service. Quint 362 & RIT 251 dispatched to scene. First due engine leading off with a 1 3/4" handline. Engine 371 and Ladder 312 covered Station 221. The fire was placed U/C quickly with no injuries reported.

B/C-13 reported fire on the second floor of a two story M/O/R, with reports of people trapped. Three victim were removed from the dwelling. One victim sustained serious burns and was transported to the hospital. Two other were injured, but their condition is unknown.

At 2358 hours Mifflin County 911 activated BOX 13-10 for a Hi-Risk Fire at 132 South Main St in Lewistown Boro. Sending co's 13 (Brooklyn), 11 (United), 12 (Fame EMS) and 14 (City). Upon response units were advised there was to be a fire in a hallway. Just after dispatch and roll call Chief 16-2 (Carter) from neighboring Granville Fire Company arrived o/l reporting heavy fire in divisions 2 and 3 with multiple occupants trapped. Engine 13-2 and Tower 11 arrived with Capt 11 requesting a full 2nd Alarm assignment. Bringing Co 1 (Burnham), Engine 4 (Highland Park), Engine and Rescue 15 (Junction), and Juniata County Tower 27 (Mifflintown) to the scene. Crews made multiple rescues from divisions 2 and 3 using Tower 11, Ladder 14, and several ground ladders. Multiple EMS companies were brought in to assist including 12 (Fame EMS), 7 (Milroy EMS), 18 (McVeytown EMS), 23 (Big Valley EMS), Juniata County 20 (Central Juniata EMS), 1 (Port Royal). Crews were on scene for over 4 hours.

Task Force 16, Station 169, Engine 122, Engine 231 and RIT 311 were dispatched to 49 Fairmount Dr. for a reported dwelling fire. Central advised E1613 that the caller reported the residence next to her to be well involved. Engine 1613 arrived O/L to find heavy fire from division a. All companies placed in service. Crews advanced a 2" handline and knocked the bulk of the fire quickly. One (1) civilian did suffer a burn injury and was transported to Cooper Hospital. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating at this time.
