Cmd O/S of a 2 story S/F dwelling with nothing showing, companies investigated, homeowners complaint of smoke in the basement. CMD updated report to smoke showing and requested the box to filled, orders were for incoming companies to stretch a line and establish water supply. Fire was place shortly there after, with fire been extinguished quickly. Deptford FM on scene for investigation.

Command arrived to fire showing from the roof & chimney areas of a 1 1/2 story single family dwelling. The all hands was struck and crews made a quick knock on the fire. The 2nd alarm was struck bringing in covers for the district. Dist 10 FI's on location.

Details:

Command arrived to heavy smoke from the front and fire showing from the rear. Crews stretched several handlines while additional crews opened up. The all hands was struck and covers were placed. The job was placed under control @ 11;27am. Two firefighters received minor injuries due to ice and were treated and released on location. Fire remains under investagation. During the job, dist covers responded on seveal other calls through out the township.

CMD O/S of 100 by 75 Commercial Fireplace Store, with heavy black smoke showing, companies went to work with all hands, RIC from 10-2(Washington Twp) added. Fire placed under control around 0940hrs, with overhaul operations being conducted and County Fire Marshal O/S for the investigation.

Details:

Clayton Command had a commercial vehicle into a dwelling with severe structural damage to the dwelling. The delivery truck hit a parked car, then a telephone pole snapping it clean off. The truck then hit a large 18' tall pine tree snapping it from its trunk and leaving it remaining on top of the truck. The truck then came to rest after striking a dwelling and shifting the home approx a foot off its foundation, causing major structural damage. Companies remained on location for an extended period of time for vehicle removal. The driver of the truck fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Callers reported smoke from 3 sides of the building. Chief Hoffman arrived to find heavy smoke throughout and a working fire. First arriving crews secured a water supply and advanced several lines while the truck company opened up. The fire went to two alarms however a quick knock down of the fire was made. Covers were added. While engaged in this fire Dist 10 was dispatched for a dwelling which was handled by covers and cleared quickly. Deptfords Canteen 9 provided rehab for the job.

Command reported a 3 story wood frame occupied dwelling with heavy fire 1st and 2nd floor rear, placed all hands in service, there was a report of people trapped on the second floor, crews went to defensive. One patient removed by police prior to fd arrival, and was transported to a local hospital, the second victim did not make it out. Multiple hand lines in-service along with master streams. County Fire Marshal and Prosecutors Office On Scene for the investigation, along with local FM and Police. Fire place under control at 03:20hrs. The 2nd victim died 11-22-2008

Companies dispatched for a brush fire on the old Day Farm on Myrtle Ave, CMD arrived to find a fully involved barn approx 25 by 50, and Advised communication to upgrade the box and have the in coming Companies stretched a large Diameter hose line from Margeaux Ct into the Day Farm to extinguish fire. Companies made quick work of the fire and the West Deptford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating along with the West Deptford Police Department.
