Battalion 11 reported a 3 story vacant taxpayer fire on the first floor placed 2 engines and 2 ladders in service, progress report fire through the roof all hands in service, the fire was placed under control by Deputy 1. 1 firefighter was transported for a minor injury. Fire Marshal on Scene. SA 10 on scene.

Approximately 2:45 AM, Stations 451, 452, 459, 421 & Atlantic County (16-1) were dispatched to the area of Route 542 & Bulltown Rd. for a reported building fire. Engine 4511 O/L reporting a small fire on the exterior of the building; all companies placed in service. At 2:59 AM, Chief 4510 advising Central that the building was vacant; partly boarded up. The bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly and placed U/C at 3:04 AM as crews began checking inside for extension.

MVA vs. Gas Pump W/Fire - Florence

Approximately 1:05 PM, Stations 401, 408, Ladder 303, Engine 322, & Engine 331 were dispatched to 2060 N. Route 130 across from the Wawa for a reported MVA with a vehicle into the gas pumps. Assistant 4002 was enroute and advised by Central that there were numerous calls reporting an MVA possibly a truck on fire as well as the gas pumps. C4002 reporting a column in the sky not O/L yet; however police are O/L reporting a fully involved car on top of the gas pumps. C4002 O/L confirming the reports. Police advising no one inside the vehicle. Engine 4012 arrived and led off with a 2 1/2" handline. Engine 3222 pulled a second line off E4012, as Engine 4013 secured a water supply on Route 130. The bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly as it was placed U/C at 1:18 PM. Crews the began overhaul and securing the pump itself. CP40 requested a hazmat unit to the scene. All units were clear of the scene around 3:30 PM.

Task Force 221 dispatched to 2 Euston Rd. for a reported dwelling fire. First arriving units O/L reporting heavy fire showing from division "C"; all companies placed in service. Central advising possible victims trapped; primary searches proved negative. Engine 2212 made a quick knock of the fire. The fire was placed U/C within the hour. Engine 371 & Ladder 312 covered Station 221.

Approximately 4:05 PM, Task Force 2322, Station 239, Engine 202, RIT 241, & Ladder 701 were dispatched to 19 Ridgewood Ave. for a reported dwelling fire. Incoming units were advised by Central that there were several callers reporting a house on fire. Police were O/L reporting heavy fire showing from the Division "C" side of the dwelling. Chief 7000 arrived O/L shortly after and confirmed the report and placed the companies in service. Numerous handlines in service as well as Ladder 2315 setting up in front of the dwelling. Chief 2300 arrived O/L and established a command post. Station 701, Engine 801, Station 239's 3rd Rig & Rehab were requested to the scene on the all hands. Engine 111 & Squirt 313 to cover Station 232. Engine 111 & Ladder 161 to cover 231. Several minutes into the incident CP23 requests a manpower pool to be set up I/F/O Ladder 7015. At 4:25 PM, CP23 reported the bulk of the fire to be knocked down, and to have animal control respond to the scene. The fire was placed U/C at 4:35 PM.

MVA W/Entrapment - Pemberton Twp.

Approximately 9:30 PM, Pemberton Twp. Fire & Rescue along with BLS & ALS were dispatched to the area of Route 70 and Spring Lake Rd. for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment. CP18 O/L reporting one victim trapped, several other occupants with injuries; one possible ejection. Units went in service with their rescue tools to extricate the patient. CP18 requested 3 helicopters; all of which landed on Route 70. The LZ was handled by Station 184. A total of three (3) patients were flown; one (1) was taken by ground via Ambulance 1893 to Cooper Trauma Center. Most of the units were clear within the hour.

Approximately 2:57 PM The Shamong Fire Dept. (Stations 281 & 289) were dispatched to Route 206 and Atsion Rd. for a reported MVA with entrapment. Incoming units were advised by Central that the caller stated there were 2 victims trapped; possible fire. C2801 O/L reporting only 1 victim to be trapped; no visible fire. Rescue 2818 arrived on scene and went into service with their rescue tools. Numerous BLS units called to the scene along with ALS. C2801 requested an Engine from 431 to set up an LZ close to the scene however Engine 1723 was on the street at the time and proceeded into the scene to handle the LZ. Station 431 Fire Police requested to the scene. The extrication was completed within an hour.

Chief 2500 reported an 800 lbs horse trapped in mud. The horse could not get up under it's own strength. M/A from Cecil was requested. A neighbor loaned out his backhoe to the fire department to be utilized during the rescue. The horse was extricated and is expected to make a recovery.
