Details:

Engine 16 arrived and found heavy smoke showing from a 3 story E/O/R 15X45 MOD. Placed 2 and 2 in service. B/C 11 arrived and directed engine 41 to go in to serivice in the D exposure and that compaines were making forcible entry.Compaines found heavy fire on the 3rd floor. Fire entended to the roof. B/C 11 released the compaines.

Details:

First arriving units found heavy fire conditions upon arrival. Command struck the all hands on arrival and reported a 1 ½” single family wood frame dwelling with heavy fire showing. Initial reports were received of possible people trapped however Police confirmed all occupants were accounted for. Crews entered the dwelling for an interior attack but were forced out around the 10 minute mark due to heavy fire conditions. Companies placed several hand lines in operation as well as the Quint’s master stream. Crews remained in defensive operations as the fire was brought under control shortly after the 1 hour mark at 3:47. No injuries were reported on the fire ground

Companies arrived on scene with fire in a three story OMD with reported entrapment on the second floor. Crews rescued one victim from the second floor. Command reported fire had extended to the "D' exposures, ordered evacuation of the fire dwellings. Placed numerous master streams in service. Second and third alarm requested. The victim rescued from the fire died from injuries sustained in the fire. Due to a poor water system a tanker task force was requested. Mutual aid from Montco, Chesco and City of Reading.

The first in engine to go in service with search and rescue, however they were driven back by heavy fire. All companies went in service with exterior attack. Two people were killed in the fire. Their bodies were found on the second floor.
