Chief 36-9 arrived on scene reporting smoke showing from a two story M/O/R dwelling. The Second Alarm was quickly struck out as crews were arriving. Interior command reported fire in the basement with wires down in the rear. Fire extended to the first floor, multiple hand lines in service. Peco requested for the wires down and gas feed fire. Used all hands.

Details:

Upon arrival, Chief 2500 found a single vehicle on its side in the woods with 2 victims trapped. ENG2521 arrived first due and were ordered into service with jaws after stabilization. Crews needed to cut and remove 4 trees in order to start the extrication. Due to the position of the vehicle in the woods, the driver was extremely difficult to remove. Total extrication time was 1 hour. Both patients were transported by ground to Cooper Trauma due to inclement weather. Units from Evesham assisted Medford Fire in the extrication and a BLS from Medford Lakes established rehab.
