Dwelling Fire - Tabernacle

CP 43 reported fire showing from a 2 1/2 story occupied dwelling,used all hands. The fire was placed under control with no injuries reported.
Serious Motorcycle MVA - Pine Hill

Squad 61 arrived to find a motorcycle vs. car with the motorcycle driver seriously injured. Medics requested Southstar to fly and LZ will be set up at Overbrook High School. The driver was transported by Southstar to Cooper Trauma in serious condition.

Pipeline 6 arrived to find a 3 story M/O/R 15x45 dwelling with heavy smoke showing from the 3rd floor with reports of people trappped. Also requested the medics to the front of the building for an injured occupant. Placed 2 and 2 in service. B/C 8 arrived and reported heavy fire 3rd floor and that all occupants were removed prior to fire departments arrival. B/C 8 used 2 and 2 plus 2 medic units. Medic 31 trauma alert to temple with a child who was dropped from the 3rd floor and caught by a bystander and with an adult who tried to rescue the child both with smoke inhalation. Medic 2 treated another occupant at the scene.

Police Car MVA with Entrapment - Philadelphia

B/C 3 had a 2 car MVA involving a Philadelphia police car with the officer trapped. Rescue 1 quickly extricated the officer from the car.Requested 2 additional medic units to the scene. The officer and 3 other victims were transported to trauma centers in unknown conditions. Philadelphia Police AID on scene investigating.

Brush fire @ Wharton State Forest. Cmd reported 25-30acre fire at approx 2pm. Also reporting mult. ground and air units in service. Battalion 11-6 on location with fire showing. Engine 1132 laid in and went in operation with 3 - 1 3/4" handlines. Ladder 11-6 opened up. All hands was struck. The fire was held to the initial dispatch and Cascade 11. The Camden County and Pennsauken Fire investigators on location for the investigation.
Two Alarm Dwelling - Doylestown

At approx. 5:20pm on 8/24/08, The Doylestown Fire Company was dispatched for an investigation in the area of Turk Road in Doylestown Township. Chief 29 Dan Hinkle (Warrington) was first on scene and reported a 1.5 story building fully involved with exposure issues and car fires. Doylestown command was established and Engine 19 and Ladder 79 arrived and went in service. The 2nd alarm was dispatched for manpower which brought in apparatus from Warrington, Chalfont, Warwick, Warminster, Midway, and Hartsville. The fire was placed under control within an hour, but extensive overhaul was needed. The exposure buildings were saved from serious damage. County Fire Marshals were called to investigate the cause of the fire. Crews were onscene for an extended period of time finding hotspots with the aid of a backhoe. CMD O/S a 2 Story S/F/D with Heavy Fire showing from division "D", with one patient on the front lawn with smoke inhalation. Ladder 2516 was order to setup in front of the dwelling and stretch 1' 3/4 handline to the rear. While 2512 and in coming companies from Salem County, Logan and Mullica Hill, entered the manpower pull and established a water supply. 2516 went in-service with its main and knock the bulk of the fire down as much of the fire had advance to the attic while crews worked two 1' 3/4 handlines on the exterior to extinguish the fire. One patient was transported by County BLS to local hospital for smoke inhalation, and the fire is being investigated by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office and there was no firefighter injuries reported.
