Command reported heavy fire in a vacant structure. Multiple lines in service upon arrival. A short time later all operations went to a defensive mode attack with master streams put in service with a partial collapse of the dwelling. The bulk of the fire was knocked down around 05:20 AM with a total of three master streams in service.

Batt. 11 reported a front bedroom fire in a two story occupied middle of the row dwelling. Companies did a quick primary search that turned up negative. Companies quickly had water on the fire a seconday search complete also negative. Held the box to one engine and one ladder. Fire was placed under control at 04:36 AM.

Details:

Companies were dispatcher to 1101 Bloomer Drive for a reported building fire at Bloomer Choclates. Command arrived on the scene with smoke from the building. Upon further investigation it was determined there was fire in a 25x25 roaster. Companies stretched a line to exstinguish the fire while a truck crew went to the roof to open any roof vents for ventilation. The interior crew knocked down the fire, employees then turned the machine back on while the crew stoodby with a hoseline to knock down any remaining fire. The incident was placed under control at 03:22 AM.

Command on the scene at 02:20 AM reported fire conditions in the basement of a single family dwelling. Companies stretched 2 1 3/4 line while the truck company ventilated windows and doors. Companies made quick work of the fire and placed it under control at approx. 02:47 AM.

Battalion 3 arrived on the scene with light smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 story brick 15x45 occupied dwelling and put 1+1 in service. A short time later, a medic unit was requested to the front of the fire building for a civilian injury and 2eng and 2ladd were placed in service for fire on the 2nd floor. Companies made good progress quickly knocking down the fire and placing it under control about 04:13 AM and request FM21 to the scene. Medics confirmed 1 civilian DOA at the fire scene. Cause is under investigation.

Details:

Companies were dispatched as explosion in the area of 4th and Park. A Collegeville fire officer arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from the front of a two story S/F/D with confirmed entrapment of several children. Command also reported a burn victim in the front yard. Medevac and Pennstar flew two patients to burn centers. Two small children were found DOA on the interior of the house. State Police and County Detectives are investigating. The fire is reported to be suspicious.

Companies 20 (Drexel Hill), 26 (Highland Park), Tower 74 (Primos-Secane), and Medic 103-7B (DCMH Paramedics) were dispatched to the above address for a building fire. Engines 20-1 and 20-2 arrived under the command of Deputy Chief 20-9A (M. Morgan) to find a one story ranch style home with smoke showing from the front door and roof area. Crews went in service with several 1 3/4" attack lines for heavy fire in the kitchen and crawlspace/roof area above. Ladder 26 crew ventilated, 20-3 and Rescue 20's crews assisted with extinguishment, searches, and overhaul, and Tower 74 stood-by as RIT. Crews made quick work of the fire bringing it under control shortly after the first 20 minute mark. Chief 20-9 (Hoban) had command. Rescue 58 (Bon Air) was special request for the air bank, and coverage for Station 20 was provided by Company 19 (Lansdowne).

At 4:30 am on January 12, 2008 Police and Fire units were dispatched to the area of the 700 block on Cinnaminson Ave for a M.V.A Rescue in Philadelphia. Units arrived on location at 798 Henry Street and reported a 1 vehicle accident with a car into a house. Crews went in operation with the tools to extricate the trapped driver.
