Engine 11 arrived on the scene with fire showing from a garage. Crew from the engine stretched an 1 3/4" hand line and quickly knocked down the fire. Car 8 arrived on the scene and reported a 2 1/2 stry garage with apartments above and heavy smoke still showing. Crews performed over haul, and knocked down any remaining hot spots. Car 8 requested the FMO respond due to a possible arson fire.

Details:

Companies 06, 42, and 09 were dispatched for a building fire. Quint 6 went responding and could see a large smoke column from there station Captain K. Felker requested Co. 43 for the rit. Quint 6 arrivied on location with heavy fire and smoke in the front of the building. They placed a 2" line in service and made a quick knock of the fire. Engine 42-1 laided a 5" supply line into the scene engine 09-2 came in behind them and sent there manpower to the front of the building a 2nd. line 1 3/4" was placed in service in the rear of the house. Crews made a search of the building with no one found. company 04 was requested for manpower due to possible extension into the B side exposurer.

On Thursday January 17th companies 37, 11, 12, & Ladder 10 were dispatched to 225 Peach St. @ Fleetwood Industries for an automatic fire alarm at 9:49 AM. Companies arrived on location and did an investigation of the duct work were the alarm was coming from and found no evident signs of fire. At 12:34 PM companies 37, 11, 12, & Ladder 10 were dispatched back to the location for a reported fire in the duct work. On the scene for the second call of the day was, Truck 12, Engine 12-1, Engine 12-2, Engine 12-3, Engine 11-1, Engine 11-2, Rescue 11, & Ladder 10. Crews from companies 12, & 11 went to the interior of the structure to search the building for any signs of fire. Crews found numerous active hot spots and fire within the duct work. Engine 11-1 stretched a dry line into the building to standby at the exit of the duct work, another crew took a high rise pack off Ladder 10 to go in service with at the stand pipe. Maintence had cut numerous access holes within the duct work so crews could shovel out hot embers and flow water into the duct work. Ladder 10 setup to goto the roof as a precaution while Truck 12 setup at the bag house in case of fire spreading to the exterior dust collector. The companies exstinguished numerous hot spots. Company 12 & 37 cleared the scene approximately 5 hours after the initial dispatch.

Companies were dispatched to 517 Shubert Road for a reported chimney fire. Upon the arrival of the first officer, it was reported they had a working chimney fire with exstension to the structure. First arriveing apparatus pulled lines and went into service. A total of three hand lines were pulled. Companies encountered some heavy fire conditions on the first and second floors. The home is to be a total loss.
