Battalion 1 reported heavy fire on arrival in 2 story middle of the row occupied dwelling. Struck the 2nd alarm. Reports of people trapped, a victim was located DOA on the second floor, The Camden County and Camden City Fire Marshal's are investigating.

Engine 19 reported a two story twin with heavy fire showing, placed all companies in service, the 2nd alarm was transmitted, companies were pulled from the fire building and companies went into service with master streams. One firefighter treated for a minor injury.

Battalion 12 placed 4 engines and 4 ladders in service for fire from the 2nd floor of a three story occupied apartment "L" shape building approx. 250x50, numerous rescues made via ladders, emergency evacuation ordered. Deputy Chief 2 transmitted 2nd and 3rd alarms. The fourth alarm was requested by Car-3 (Delvin). Numerous master streams placed in service.
Several residence and firefighters were transported to the hospital with injuries. One firefighter suffered serious burns.

One elderly female removed the by firefighter and was DOA at the hospital. .....

Details:

Kingston section of Cherry Hill. at 11:41 E22, E52, L24, EMS92 and Bn13 responded to a reported fire in the 100 blk of Daytona Avenue. E22 arrived with fire showing from all first floor windows. Bn13 (Paolini) transmitted the All Hands commanding CHFD units to complete primary searches and control fire conditions on both floors. Firefighter faced a well advanced fire, high wind conditions and simulated wood paneling at this incident. Companies mounted an interior attack using two 1 3/4 hose lines with support from L24. Squrt 31(RIT) and L44 (All Hands Ladder) and 1375 arrived and where used as relief. In addition Rehab13 and the Cherry Hill Fire Police where placed into service. Fire is under investigation by CHFD FMO.

Chief 1720 arrived on location with a 1 story S/F/D with heavy smoke showing through out. Chief 1720 ordered the first due companies to lead off with an inch and 3/4's. CP17 reported all occupants had evacuated the dwelling. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. Mutual Aid from Tabernacle, Chatsworth, Medford, Lumberton, Shamong and Medford Lakes.
