The Audubon Fire Department in Camden County Station 1-1 has received a new rescue pumper. Squad 1 is a 2008 E One Typhoon Rescue Pumper with a raised roof climate controlled cab with seating for 8 firefighters. It is powered by a Cummins 425 hp engine. Squad 1 features a 1750gpm pump with a 750 gallon water tank and a 30 gallon foam tank it will also carry the extrication tools for the department, the front bumper has a compartment for a tool and reel along with a winch and a will for an 1 ¾ handline. Squad 1 also has roll up doors a light tower and a top mount pump. This unit replaces a 1981 Hahn pumper. It was purchased from Guardian Fire Equipment. Audubon received the new truck today it should be in service in the coming weeks. Thank you to Chief Carpenter and the firefighters from Station 1-1 for their assistance with this feature.
