The Flourtown Fire Company has placed in service a new Squad 6 it is a Pierce Custom Rescue pumper. It will be on the Pierce Custom Quantum chassis with seating for eight (8) firefighters. It will be powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 515hp engine and a Allison automatic transmission. It has the Pierce TAK4 Independent front suspension and air conditioning. Also features a 750 gallon water tank with a 1750 gpm Waterous two stage pump. an aluminum body with roll up doors also 20kw Harrison hydraulic generator with two cord reels and Fire Research lights and a Wilbert Chief light tower. The emergency lighting will be Whelen LED brand.
