The Exeter Twp Fire Department Reiffton Fire Company #2 in Reading Berks County Pa have placed a new rescue pumper in service. Rescue 25 is a 2009 Seagrave Marauder II Stainless Steel, climate controlled split tilt cab with a 14” raised roof, barrier doors and seating for 8. It has a 229"inch wheelbase with a 176” Stainless Steel body with top side storage and R.O.M. roll-up type compartment doors for body, pump enclosure and cross lays. It is powered by a Detroit Series 60 515HP motor, Allison Model 4000 - EVS, electronically controlled, 5 speed Automatic Transmission. The fire pump is a Waterous 1500 GPM two stage fire pump, with an Akron 3126 125 GPM by-pass foam eductor system and foam agent drum pick up system. It holds 500 gallons of water in its onboard tank plus an integrated 30 gallon foam tank. There is room for approximately 1000’ 5" / 400’ 3” / 600 1.75” hose. There are four preconnected Amkus hydraulic extrication tools along with a full compliment of Paratech lifting bags, rescue struts, and air hammers. Some other items carried on the new vehicle are several small and large hand tools, shovels etc. There is also a full compliment of rope and rigging equipment. A 200 lb. oil dry dispenser built in to the body. A 30 KW Harrison hydraulic generator, with two preconnected electric reels. A Will-Burt Nightscan 3.0P 4,500 watt, 10’ light tower. A Warn XD9000i Multi-Mount 9000 lbs portable winch, with connections on four sides of the vehicle. PA Department Of Health Rescue compliant cribbing and ladder complements for operations level. There is also a 4- 6000psi cylinder “Space Saver” cascade system for refilling air cylinders on location of an emergency. Also tied into the cascade are two air reels to operate long air line operations and air operated hand tools. There is a free standing retractable RV style awning to provide shelter to members on location of an emergency. A Wireless FIRECOM head set system and passenger side and rear view cameras, for driver and passenger safety. The warning devices include all Wheelen LED emergency lighting, Grover 1510 Air Horns, Federal Q2B, 12" chrome plated fire bell, Dual Mars 888’s, Roto-Ray and Power Call.
